Elvis was overrated. There were 1,000s of brothers out their with more talent, but didn't get the opportunities or recognition for obvious reasons....smh

Every time this topic comes up, I tell ya'll that your hatred is missplaced. Elvis never said he was special. He freely admitted he got his whole style from black people. And it was well known that before he blew he was sleeping on the couches of people like James Brown.
Elvis wasn't the villain. The studio behind him was. They were the ones that stole music from black people and promoted Elvis as the great white savior of music.

I'm Gonna post 3 songs by Ray Charles. These are my favorite Ray Charles songs. I challenge anybody to post 3 Elvis songs that are as good.
Not only is Ray Charles 10X better than Elvis, but if you really listen to those 3 songs that I just posted, you could make the case that he is the father of Rock N Roll/Rythm & Blues. He came out around the same time as Elvis but his music was so much better that there's really no comparison.
You'd make a fool of yourself trying to argue that Elvis was better than Ray Charles.

Who's trying to argue that? Everyone knows that Elvis is only as big as he was because he did black music and was white. Even most of his fans would admit that because it's pretty much the reason they love him.

It's 2022 and you dudes are still upset about Elvis. Incredible. Instead of starting the year with all this negativity how about flipping it positively and being appreciative that Elvis' success paved the way for Michael to get away with grabbing his crotch. Bet you guys never once considered that.

Look, Elvis was interviewed, and he said himself that he got everything he did from sneaking into Memphis Blues joints when he was a kid. People's anger at Elvis is misdirected. The industry is at fault and still tries to do the same thing today (e.g., Eminem, Iggy Azelia, Macklemore, etc...).
