Post An Obscure Track That Somebody Should Remake

5 Grand

Old School Godfather
Here's a song from Tracey Lee's 1997 album. I doubt if anybody remembers it. I wouldn't be mad if somebody remade it.

I always liked this song from Canibus' debut album. I doubt if anybody remembers it.

Can-I-Bus was a hard album..heavily slept on

Canibus could rap, but the production was all wrong. He'd spit a hot 16 and then the chorus wouldn't match the song.

hip hop should never be remade.

First of all, that's what Hip Hop is; taking other people's music and making something new and fresh. The first Rap record, Rapper's Delight, used the music from Good Times by Chic.

As far as lyrics are concerned, it's wack to bite somebody else's rhymes, but twenty years have gone by since the songs I posted in the O/P were released. I think you could remake those songs and the younger generation wouldn't know. Like how Snoop remade Ladi Dadi, or The Vapors.

There's a lot of songs that were dope 20-30 years ago by one hit wonders, or people that never really blew up. I don't see anything wrong with remaking them.

They should redo the Welcome to ATL remix with the different cities.

Update it with new artists
