2Pac was a good rapper and he had a lotta charisma, personality and that voice…. But, yeah, I kinda scratch my head when people call him the greatest.

I never really thought his rhymes were particularly special.

The way I see Pac is that he was the first emo rapper. His rhymes played on emotional content. His lyrics were pretty basic, but the content of those lyrics got to people because of the emotional content in them.


Either his second or third album actually bombed on The Wake Up Show with Sway and Tech. Sway spoke on it in an interview once.

Because those aspects are also very important to being a dope rapper. Lyrics are important but if the person rapping them can't make you feel it then it becomes a bunch of words...and few rappers have managed to capture the emotional aspect od their words like Pac did
