Nike has donated three times as much money to Republicans as Democrats this year

There seems to be a bit of a disconnect between Nike’s branding and the sporting good giant’s political leanings.

In all, Nike has given $424,000 to the GOP compared to $122,000 to Democrats. The findings follow a recent trend showing Nike has donated more to Republicans than Democrats in every election cycle since 2010 with the exception of 2016.

Following the money
According to the report, nearly half of all donated funds from Nike employees has come from co-founder Phil Knight and his family.

Knute Buehler in his race for Oregon governor against incumbent democrat Kate Brown. The contribution is the largest individual donation to an Oregon candidate since the state started electronically tracking such dealings in 2006.

Nike World Headquarters are located Beaverton, Oregon.

Buehler’s platforms are lower corporate taxes and repealing Oregon’s sanctuary state laws for undocumented immigrants.Among Buehler’s platforms are lower corporate taxes and repealing Oregon’s sanctuary state laws for undocumented immigrants.

Compared to its rival companies, Nike has donated far more to politicians than it’s competitors. Both Nike and New Balance have each given more than $1.2 million to Republican candidates since 2010, however Nike has also donated more than $900,000 to Democrats over that same time span. By comparison, Adidas and Under Armour have donated less than $600,000 combined to both parties since 2010."Compared to its rival companies, Nike has donated far more to politicians than it’s competitors. Nike’s stock continues to skyrocket after Kaepernick ad

On the year, Nike is up 36 percent and is performing better than any other company listed on Dow’s index of 30 blue-chip stocks.

Kaepernick is currently signed on a long-term deal with Nike that pays him millions each year and is on par with contracts for other star NFL players.

so those who stood with nike against the GOP gave money to nike to give to the GOP?

played ya self gif

so all the black people who went out to buy nikes is supporting the people they claim to not like....will they take the sneakers back?

will that guy who cut the nike symbol off...will he now sew it back on?

Not surprised. Supporting Kaep was like a commercial to them. What can you do? If you support him you buy the brand. They turn around and give money to people who don't support him. Sad and funny at the same time.

The second greatest race hustle I've seen in the last two years. The first being Mayweathers fight against Mcgregor.

That "fight" was a cash grab. It makes absolutely no sense that a UFC fighter would be able to contend with a boxing champion in a boxing ring under boxing rules. And vice versa, it would make no sense for Mayweather to fight in a UFC match and win. Second America has been wanting a great white hype to dominate in boxing for years. The question of boxing vs MMA is always being debated. Mayweather's fights have always had a racial element on top of raking in big bucks. And Mcgregor is also a big ticket trash talking seller in the UFC world. They found a way to play the race card masterfully and both of them laughed as they made millions.

Nike is well aware of the racial climate in America. They pay people good money to analyze demographics and marketing strategies. A simple thing like changing the color of their logo requires intense analyzing as it can affect sales. Coke Cola could tell you that. Playing both sides of the fence, throwing a rock while hiding your hands is the oldest strategy in the book. The Rep's get their support, the "liberals" wanna put on a good face, and the blacks just want acceptance. So Nike gets their money, maintains their benefits, and gets good humanitarian PR with Kap. A few angry WS's just adds extra publicity burning shit they already gave Nike money for. A well calculated move and it's paying off billions.

Most big corporations donate to the Republicans. Unlike the dumb hicks that vote Republican against their own interests, rich people and corporations are served by what the Republicans do.

I dropped a whole list on the IC. But people only wanted to boycott the NFL.
