Video NHALE - In My Hood (Nate Dogg's son)

Just because you’re somebody’s son, that don’t mean you gotta do an impersonation of your father.

Homie needs to find his own lane.

I get what youre saying and do kinda agree... Nate had a very distinctive voice and style though, so its no surprise his son sounds like him or wants to be like him... Though has own style too, its his hooks that sound more like Nate than the verses...

But in a world where most new rappers sound the same (even the beats they rap on sound similar), Im not mad NHALE wants to sound like his father, who is a GOAT and unique in his own right, rather than sound like a 1000 other rappers...

We're some of the only people who struggle against nepotism, be it financially or culturally.

Most other people would love to benefit from generational wealth and norms but we're supposed to press reset with every generation and start from scratch in the name of individualism.

I say let the black man cook.

Not talking about nepotism.

I’m talking about a son in the music business doing an impersonation of his late father.

If Michael Jackson had a son who tried to dress, dance and sing EXACTLY like MJ, you wouldn’t have an issue with that?

My statement had nothing to do with generational wealth or anything like that.

I agree we should let this black man cook.

We already had a Nate Dogg.

Let his son create his own identity.... That was my point.

I admire when kids of celebs wanna be recognized on their own merits, NOT because they’re so & so’s kid.
