So I just accepted a promotion with the possibility of moving to NC sooner than I originally planned. It ain't necessary that I relocate. Wifey and I planned on moving there in about 3yrs once my baby girl graduate. If I wait til then, I might not be able to take my position with me.

So, Im seriously considering relocating now, while I have a better chance of the company paying for it.

I'm looking near the Charlotte area, good black hood with good schools. Gimme the 411
 
Charlotte the best place to be in NC. Since you got kids look into the Harrisburg,Pineville and Huntersville area to buy yourself a home. Don't know where you're moving from but you can get get a 5bd room joint for 250-300k.

Raleigh-Durham is nice as well and if you're into IT it's the place to be but fharlChar still better. It's a big city but still feel small

Good lookin out fam. Im bout to look into those areas now. Cot damn at a 5bd rm for 250-300k. Man, thats a steal coming from fuck ass Michigan

Bet. I'm checking into that district. My older two almost done with high school, but we got a little one so a strong school system is a top priority.

Yeah depending on the area you can find a steal of house with .25 acre of land.

How recently u checked this info? Not sayin you lying but I just know the housing market numbers are on raise so hearing 250k for a 5 bed room especially in charlotte is surprising.
 
Co-sign everything my NC brethren @Cain said. NC is a great state and Charlotte is the most poppin of all the cities. Downtown is awesome and you got pro football and basketball. Other parts of town are getting trendy now and have lots to offer too.

Asheville in the mountains is like a couple hours away which makes for a good getaway. Beach is about 3 hours away, but they're not as great as those further south. Lots of big tours (music, comedy, etc.) come through Charlotte too. Atlanta's about 3 hours away if you wanted to shoot down for a weekend.
