It's due to air in three parts next year

A new trailer has been released for a forthcoming docuseries about R. Kelly’spast and ongoing accusations, due to air in January 2019 and titled Surviving R. Kelly.

The trailer, which you can watch below, references Kelly’s past legal challenges, including allegations of possessing child pornography, sex with an underage girl, and recent claims that he runs an abusive ‘sex cult’.

“There’s a difference between R. Kelly and Robert. R. Kelly’s this fun, laughing, loving guy, but Robert is the devil,” says the voice of one of his accusers in the trailer.

Elsewhere he is described as “the puppet master”, while another voice says that “he ain’t a monster by himself, it took some help.”

Chants from a protest shouting, “Shame on you” and “Mute R. Kelly” – part of the ‘Mute R. Kelly’ movement that sprang up in response to Kelly’s denial of the allegations – can also be heard.

According to Rolling Stone, the documentary is to feature over 50 interviews, including with the likes of R&B artist Sparkle, who testified against Kelly in a 2008 criminal trial over his alleged child pornography possession, as well as John Legend, US talk show host Wendy Williams and civil rights activist Tarana Burke.

Also interviewed are Kelly’s ex-wife Andrea Kelly, his ex-girlfriend Kitti Jones, and his brothers Bruce and Carey Kelly.

The series is due to air on three parts on US channel Lifetime, on January 3, 4 and 5 respectively.

The singer was accused last July of running an “abusive and controlling cult” of young women, while earlier this year he was also accused of grooming a 14-year-old girl to be his “sex pet”. In April, Dallas police confirmed they were investigating allegations that Kelly gave a woman an STD and plied her with drugs and alcohol when she was 19. He has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.

Kelly responded to the allegations in a 19-minute track titled ‘I Admit’, which he released in July.

Apple Music, Pandora and Spotify all removed Kelly’s music from their playlists amid the accusations.

The nigga married Aaliyah when she was 15 and thought he got her pregnant while they were married; he was 27 at the time.

The case against him was for child porn, but you can throw that out completely and still see the nigga's a dirty pedo from the Aaliyah shit alone.
