Outspoken basketball dad and businessman LaVar Ball had a strong message for NFL players who disapprove of the league's new national anthem policy.

The NFL announced in May that it has adopted a policy of issuing fines to teams and league personnel who do not “stand and show respect for the flag and the anthem.”

The league will allow players to stay in the locker room during the anthem, but teams will be fined if their players kneel on the field.

The policy comes in wake of controversial protests that were started by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

TMZ caught up with Ball, who said he thinks the NFL went too far with the new rule, while acknowledging that a private company has a right to create and enforce its own policies.

"It's their league. If you don't want to do it, get out their league," Ball said.

"That's why I got my own league. Do what I want," he added, referring to his new junior basketball league, the JBA, which he will be running himself.

As for the anthem policy in the JBA, Ball said the players will be standing.

"I got some youngsters, man. They going to do the anthem. They not going to be kneeling and doing all that."

Just when I was about to say fuck this nigga...

This is why context is important. I actually agree. If those professional athletes all walked away from the NFL, the only people who would be hurt would be those fuckface franchise owners. Pipe dream or not, that's what should happen.

All this fence riding is ridiculous. You wanna be a man but you wanna earn a living but you wanna do the right thing but you don't wanna miss your next payday. FOH

Did yall miss that last paragraph where he says he has same anthem rule as the NFL for his lil struggle league?

For about 90% of the owners, no it won't.

For most of these owners these team is just something to add to their portfolio or live some childhood dream of owning a sports team. Most of these owners got their billions outside of the NFL, hell the only owners I think could be hurt by the players walking out is the Rooney's. IDK what they do besides own the Steelers.
