Welcome To aBlackWeb

It takes a village to raise a child.

i didnt always believe in this, just looking at different people's circumstances

but having the extra "family" now I see where it absolutely benefits the children

mother in law - "big mama" status now.....they listen to her before they listen to us....she's got the experience and older, wiser influence....she feeds them better then I could ask for or do myself....already putting a good work ethic in them....huge role

church - its new for all of us but its taking its effects....they're definitely listening

my sister(s) - my blood sister (for me) pretty much serves as the example of a black woman for them....plus she gets to be the auntie that spoils them in the summer and sends them back home. the wife's sister has her own bond with them and is more so the fun time aunt they get the girl time and artsy shit with

not so much now, but the teachers are going to play a much bigger role for them next year because they'll be in much smaller classes.....im sure we'll be getting real close

My sons village is myself, his dad and his dad’s gf (she seems to have his best interest at heart and has yet to miss any of his big events and games, I can dig it and my son loves her), my mom, my dad, my step dad and his wife, his dads mom and dad, my grandmother, my brothers, his uncles and aunts and teachers.

All of these people show my son nothing but love and support and so many people tell my son, there is no way he can say his family don’t love him. If I can’t make something, I can call ANYBODY and they are there for him even for something so small. As a mama, of course I have to be at every game and I expect dad to be. Now his games are our top priority’s on Saturdays. It’s crazy how the whole family put aside what they got going on to show face.

Oh and our dog.

Me my wife and my mother have the most impact on my kids....

Then prolly the teachers/school

Then you get to my wife dad and siblings

My sister

And the church plays a part too
