I voted yes but it depends on your direction in life. You can't practice medicine in most countries without having a license so for that person yes. But you can be very successful without a degree. So I think it's importance is based on infpdividusl want and need.

For one, college cost too fucking much. Education should be free. In my case, I want to become a teacher. I have to have a degree to do that, so it is necessary.

Then I think about it, once I become a teacher, how happy will I be if I gotta spend the rest of my life paying back loans and shit. It's a set up but I gotta do it. It's no longer about me, gotta make it for my son.

College is free in most places in the world and you would be surprised how many people still don't go.

i voted no because it's not worth it.

it's absolutely great if it's used correctly, but not for the price....especially if you don't come from privilege....

for a large majority of this country, college introduces us to a life a debt..the furth you go, the more you accumulate.....the only way out is if everything else goes to plan...

most phd's are still paying off loans

I think in Cuba, and I think it still applies today, Castro at a time invited all blacks who practiced in medicine, wanted to be a doctor or something that they could come over there and get an education for free or something.

I wouldn't push it on my kids, I'll stress to only go to college and major in fields that will yield you a 6 figure-salary

college will be one of many options presented to my children.....

they'll have pro's and con's for all of their options

It depends on what you plan on getting a degree in, don't waste four years of your life getting a liberal arts degree, not even worth the paper it's printed on.

To me if you're not gonna go to college, trade school is a very good option. My brothers an electrician and does very well
cosign....

yea they gotta be doing something significantly progressive.....and i don't want it to be a last minute thing either...if you not sure about college, i need to hear a realistic plan that i can get behind, and it needs to be presented like a formal proposal.....slide show n all tha...or whatever the technology is in like 15 years

i wanna see that you put a lot of thought into it, and this is something you really want to do.....i wanna hear the 5, 10, and 15 year plan

I've always said that my kids can only stay in my house if they are working and progressing towards something.

don't go to college for the sake of going to college, unless you got a whole lot of disposable income or scholarships.

figure out what u want out of life then work backwards. if u need a degree to meet ur goals, find a way,

i always recommend takin a year out after high school to figure shit out.
