If there is any question that x aint top 15

RusselWilsonJr

Who do you think you are? I am
Listen to this..listen to out of the lox, on this song..sheek was the most skilled. Most of us think Jada is the best outta the lox. On this joint, part of their first official release.

You can here the rawness, you can hear Sheek skillfully within the beat at times and still fighting the tempo at others. You can hear jada hopped on and it was his 16 or high water, like it coulda been any beat and that verse woulda do what it did.

You can hear an unsure styles, barely any passion in his bars. He sounds bored, the verse is great but like jada. He was just rapping, just spitting, how you do when you used to spitting.

Then theres X..announces himself wit the bark..letting you know this gone be a different vibe..not only is the verse dope, but it lives within the beat. He let's the beat come to him, he's not bar counting, hes not being technical, it's almost like it was his song and jada and styles added mixtape verses.

How many other emcees can make jada and styles sound like amateurs on their own song? How he ain't in ya top 15 DOA?

DMX never evolved from a very basic vocab or flow

Strictly off rawness and passion, he a beast but no growth as far as skill set

Hmmm
Nas( had 3 dope solo's)
Jay (had 2 dope solo's)
Big (duh)
Jada (he could keep up with x)
Styles (arguable)
Snoop
Beans (more consistent less impact)
Redman ( had 3 dope lp's maybe 4 when x came out)
Raekwon(chef has better lps x fell to hard to compete)
Ghostface
For that era when he dropped until he fell off 2lps later X was top tier easy. But of all time nah

I imagine t/s was high as fuck when he made this

But naw x in my top 5

His energy, passion, charisma, delivery, depth, voice, persona.... It's off the charts...

His story telling.

He always feels like the most genuine. The connection with the fans. The pure raw honesty. The ghetto wisdom. X was a beast. I'm a huge fan
