I Does This

RusselWilsonJr

Who do you think you are? I am
What is something that you do really well, that you understand really well, and if it paid well enough to support you, and didn’t require paperwork, you’d do it?

I know people that have amazing skills, they understand cars, or carpentry, or finances, they just are made to do certain things.

And I’m surprised they just don’t do it.

Me? I think id be an excellent counselor or salesman. I’m great at giving advice or providing perspective. I’m naturally good at it, if I could make enough money off it to support me I’d do it like, tomorrow.

What’s you god given skill or understanding that you’re good enough to get paid for, if you could just do it without licenses or paperwork?

So your natural gift is discernment? In other worlds you’d be an excellent sports scout or casting director, dope
lol. I suck at sports scouting. So many players that I thought had next didn't even have right now. lol.
I mentioned employees bcuz I own several small businesses and an employment agency. I can spot a ain't shit nigga instantly. It's a gift. I don't even do the hiring anymore, bcuz if it were left to me, I wouldn't have anyone working for me. If you really wanna know who is a keeper as a worker, see what they are doing when there is nothing to do.

Stay busy.

Cleaners not leaners.

Team players.

Customer friendly.

Volunteers and not hostages. (overtime seekers)

Outside of the box thinkers.

Question askers

Believe it or not but complainers actually care about the job. They complain bcuz they want changes for the better. Which means they plan on being there.

I’m doing my god given skill, teaching.
What is it about the teaching?

Like Rubato pointed out, he can take a concept and make it simple to others to allow them to grasp it.

Is it your heart, your gift with patience, compassion, a natural ability to bring down the barriers of a child?

How does your gift manifest in your career?

Im the Jack of all Trades and a Master Electrician.
Im carrying on tradition of teaching novices.
I hire apprentices that have proficient mechanical aptitude.
My mechanic aptitude is very high. It runs in my family. We're gifted. My Grandfather was a Carpenter and had 10 sons and two daughters. My Pops learned Carpentry from my grandfather like the rest of my uncles but he also learned to become a Master Mechanic. Some of my uncles also learned other trades and became Masters. Carpentry is their foundation tho and it became 2nd nature to all of us that descended. I have siblings and cousins that are Engineers & Architects

My pops taught me Carpentry & Mechanic.
And it became second nature to me. My pops was a teacher and hero to a lot of young fellas that wanted to learned how to fix stuff. High schools that specialized in trades use to send students to my father's Mechanic shop to learn. Till this day I have people still coming up to me thanking me because of what my dad taught them and it makes me smile.
Been going to trade school since high school and Electrician was always my focus. Before the military i got an Associate Degree in Computer Technology. I can hack stuff if i want to. After college i joined the Navy scoring a 90 taking the ASVAB test which is high. I became an Electrician my final years in the Navy but I was a Boatswain's Mate first. Being a Boatswain's Mate continued after the Navy because I got another Associate Degree in Maritime Technology. I worked for The Depart of Transportation as a construction highway inspector at first then transfered at a different division steering the Staten Island Ferries. I worked for DOT for about 5 years and ConEd..... I lost count how many years I gave them and their sub contractors

I admire those skills, I wish I had the aptitude to absorb and implement what you are gifted at.

It’s my heart and natural ability to reach a child. My students love me. My old students love me. My past student seek me out. I’m comfort to them. Parents hate me at first then when they meet me they love me because they know my heart right.
