Huggies features black father and baby on new box
Huggies is being lauded on social media for featuring a black father and baby on the packaging for its new line of diapers.
This month, the diaper giant launched Special Deliveries, a line of diapers made with plant-based materials — but while some parents are buzzing about the product itself, others are more excited about the box it comes in.
In particular, Joe Flowers, Jr., a dad from Oak Forest, Illinois, was thrilled to see a black dad just like him pictured on one of the boxes, calling the inclusive move a 'first in history.'

'Huggies done went and put a black father on the package of their diapers,' Joe wrote, posting a picture of a box of diapers on Facebook.
'This is a first in history[,] look how far we’ve come. I’m about to buy these for no reason whatsoever,' he added.
DailyMail.com has reached out to Huggies to confirm whether this is, in fact, the first time a black father has been featured on a Huggies box — but if it is, the brand is really committing to the move.
While model Orlondo Thompson poses with a little girl named Soraya Lattimore on one box, another photo from the Special Delivery campaign shows a different black father with a baby on his chest.

Facebook commenters are quite pleased with the move.
'My babies are all out of diapers they are big kids now but I’m going to buy this box just because it’s beautiful,' wrote one mother.
'I don’t even have kids and ima lowkey buy a package just to support!' added another commenter.
'Yesssss. This is amazing!!!! If u "buy for no reason at all" you could always donate to your local diaper drive, I know salvation army offers diapers to lower income families,' said yet another.

Meanwhile, Soraya's mom posted a video on the little girl's Instagram account, showing her excitement over seeing the box on a shelf in a store.
