How much money did he make?

I would say $20. It seems like he loses 10 bucks by buying it back at a higher price, but that assumes he only had that starting capital ($60) to begin with. Since he buys back at a higher price it's clear he had more investment capital than just that $60, so he makes $10 bucks each trade through two different trades.

$30

He bought it for $60 then ultimately sold it for $90.

Fuck, now I think it's $20 after thinking about it more.

It's to late for this shit, I'm out.

He left with $20 more dollars than he had is how you need to look at it. He flipped it for a $10 profit twice.

Exactly what this man said. It's two seperate deals but it's intentionally read as one continuing deal to try to make you lose count.

It all depends on how you interpret the question.

If you look at it as how much he made on that particular goat, it's only $10.

If you look at it as 2 separate transactions, it's $20.

Following the money trail, he made $10 overall.

Buy for $60, sold for $70 = $10 profit

Take $70 and add another $10 and buy back the item for $80 = $80 in the hole

Sell the item for $90 = $10 profit from all transactions.

And this would be the case if it was two separate items, however it's the same item and that's what makes the difference.

Bruh... no.

Assume said person has $100.

He spends 60, now he’s at $40. Sells for 70, he’s at $110 now.

Then out of that $110, he pulls 80. He’s left with $30. Sells for 90, he ends with $120.

He started with $100 and finished with $120. Now you tell me where you fucked up at lol
