How do you know when person is worth listening to?

Eric thomas....tried to sell several businesses before becoming a motivational speaker....some shit was suspect...so his words dont matter.

what qualifies someone to be heard?
It seems like we can find fault in anyone to not listen to free advice....but what qualifies someone to be heard or worth your time?

I listen to everyone and use my own sensibilities to if I should take heed to what they say. I ain't perfect, I might turn my back on good advice and listen to fuck shit. But no one is below at least listening too. Except child molesters and men who beat women.
