Saw all of them except for the roomate and the intruder.

All of them are forgettable though.

IMO there are plenty of plots that can be told but the movie industry just like the music industry is about making money first and foremost. So unless that new thing proves it can make money first they're not going to invest in it.

Scrolling through amazon prime, hulu, netflix, etc. I see plenty of movies that have great storylines when you read what its about. But when click to watch the trailer either the acting is trash, it's super low budget or it looks like it was shot the first ever camera phone recorder and sometimes its all 3.

Said that to say put a decent budget with some better actors behind some of those movies and I think the need for all the remakes would slow down a lot.
