Give me a testimonial on a honorable crackhead in ya family/neighborhood/ at ya workplace.... I have a coworker who has been at our job 26 years... By her own admission she been a dopefiend most of her tenure there... They make fun of her but she takes it in stride she tha most dependable employee they got.I think we as people sometimes get tha notion that all Crackheads out here livin tha grimey life when in actuality it's not always true

A crackhead taught me how to ride a bike

The dude was a friend of my dad's and wasalso from Ireland like my father. He would come to our house and play music with my dar/drink/smoke weed. He would do some dopefiend type of stuff and usually get bounced from our place for a few weeks.

My dad had really bad agorophobia (fear of the outdoors) from his time at war and as such didnt leave the house much. When his crackhead friend found out I didn't know how to ride a bike, he took me to a local park and showed me the ropes.

Unlike other drugs (like meth or heroin), I feel like crack allows the addict to keep some sense of their identity. Like...they don't know they're a crackhead, they still think they're normal and think the rest of us think they're normal too.

I mean, it can completely warp their value system, but it doesn't completely wipe out their humanity

You just haven't met a hardcore crackhead.

I came up during the crack era, I knew all kinds of crackheads, from mild to severe

I think it depends on the person. If they were a decent person who partied and got caught up, I felt like as long as it didn't come down to them getting a rock they were still decent people.

But if someone was already extra foul as a human being...AND they smoked crack, then yeah, their foulnesa was going to be amplified by the drug

good thread idea

Shreveport crack heads aint shit......just wanna beg and steal/sell petty ass random shit....."I got these headphones mane........some D batteries right here, brand new.....you be on that cologne???"

DFW crack heads on the other hand are neighborhood service men....hard working, reliable, and no bullshit......they will wash the shit outta your car w/ a spray bottle and one rag....have that bitch sparkling. When they steal, they go and get real shit they KNOW gone bring that hot 20....packs of steaks, cases of beer, jewelry, refrigerators, tires, EVERYTHING

thats who showed me how to hook your electricity back up and all that....them boys the truth

knew a mexican in ft worth that smoked big....his thing was panhandling and telling stories......dude would go by the mall and all the grocery stores and shit and come back with 400-600 dollars...daily

My uncle (crackhead) was on probation & had to get a job. Before he was released tho, he told my father that he wanted to start life with a new & clean slate, so he got put down in 5linx while he was in prison. After he was released, this nigga was excited & told us that he was in 5linx but he never made any money in it. So his next court & the judge asked him did he have a job. He said "Yesssss!!!!!, I work for 5linx (He said it with enthusiasm). After he couldn't provide a show of income then the judge told him that is a pyramid scheme, looked at him like a clown & locked his ass up

My aunt

She was a crackhead for at least half my life maybe longer. She got married to her boyfriend who got out of jail and she told my cousin she's her real mother. Got a decent job and a car and lives in my old house growing up. She's great

Tha main point i was tryin ta make is that you have quite a few Crackheads that live productive lives.... They all don't steal, they all don't bad hygiene ,& they all don't want a handout

It's funny that you're trying to dispel the negativity yet you stay calling them crackheads, which holds a lot of negative connotations

It's like trying to big up Latin Americans and being like "Tell me a time a bean eating, greasy spic did something nice for you"

My mom used to work for the city. One day she was in a truck and the dude who was driving was speeding like crazy, swerving all over the road and slamming on the brakes at weird moments.

After like 30 minutes of this (where everyone in the car thought it was a wrap for them), dude calmly pulled over and unbuckled his seat belt. He looked at everyone in the truck and said:

"I've spent the last three days in a crack house...

Someone else is gonna have to drive."
