Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has been accused of a 1989 sexual assault in an explosive new lawsuit.

The lawsuit, brought by former Penthouse model Sheila Kennedy, claims the rocker forced himself on her in a hotel room shortly after they had met for the first time at a New York nightclub, according to the lawsuit.

A rep for Rose did not immediately return a request for comment.

We expect that Sheila Kennedy’s decision to file this suit will be an important turning point for the music industry,” Kennedy’s lawyer, Ann Olivarius, said in a statement. “Her account is unfortunately all too typical of a culture of violence and sexual misconduct that has been allowed to exist in plain sight for decades. It’s not just individual musicians stepping out of line, but an industrial system of enabling them and then covering up their misconduct and crimes, silencing survivors and normalizing sexual assault. We hope Sheila’s bravery helps other victims find their voice.”

Wouldn't shock me if it was true but could also just be a money grab

Musicians dealing with groupies and feeling like everyone wants them. Intimidation likely got a lot of them laid. They also likely don't get told no very often
 
To be fair, those rock & roll dudes have been flying under the radar for awhile.


I mean, a lot of them have been in multiple documentaries and interviews talking about all the wild shit they did with groupies..........most of whom were teenage girls.


So it's about time they got their wake-up call too.

My post had nothing to do with rather it can be proven or not, or if it was true or not. I'm simply stating that if an allegation is true, than consequences should be administered. The length of time of said incident doesn't matter to me.
 
I won’t surprised if we don’t see more of these rockstars from back in the day targeted..A lot those rockstars in the 60s,70s,80s & up in to the mid 90s got away w/ doing tons of foul shit..Also you can throw Elvis’s fat coke’d ass in there too.. He was R.Kelly before R.Kelly was even thought of…

I wasn't really speaking to your post, but just the trend in general. And nah, a 30 year old allegation from an adult holds no weight from me without solid proof. 10 years really doesn't either. There's no way to prove these allegations, it's jut a money shakedown at this point.
