In FX’s Grotesquerie, a series of heinous crimes have unsettled a small community. Detective Lois Tryon feels these crimes are eerily personal, as if someone—or something—is taunting her. With no leads and unsure of where to turn, she accepts the help of Sister Megan. However, they find themselves ensnared in a sinister web that only seems to raise more questions than answers.​

Im into this series so far Niecy Nash perfectly fits into the role of Detective Lois Tryon. Dealing with multiple personal problems and personal issues and trying to work on a series of ultra brutal crimes. The dynamics between the characters is great and their unorthodox approach to life and their personalities and fetishes at times are shocking. Nash is getting a great co star assist from Micaela Diamond as Sister Megan, Nicholas Alexander Chavez as Father Charlie, Courtney B. Vance as Marshall Tryon, Lesley Manville as Nurse Redd and Raven Goodwin as Merritt Tryon.
