Had to go with Children's Story
My words exactly haha Both legendary in their own rights... I guess 'Children's Story' has a commercial twist to it to, plus its been covered quite a few times too...

I couldn't pick so I let my engineering manager decide. He's a little older than me and was a teenager when this came out. Shit i was only 6 in 88. All I said was pick the best song out of these two without me telling you up front. I played The Symphony first then played Children's Story. Soon as I played CS that was his choice.
Things finally went the right way lol
The Symphony has bars. Big Daddy Kane completely murdered that last verse. The Symphony set the bar for posse jams and was the platform for Kane to show the world that he was an elite MC on the level of KRS, Rakim and LL Cool J, who were the hottest MCs at the time.
A Children's Story isn't so much about bars, rather, the focus is songwriting and storytelling.
But the thing that did it for me is the fact that you can play A Children's Story at a club or party and people will rush the dancefloor. The Symphony doesn't have that effect at a party or club.
