Speaking for myself this like Kobe vs wilt.

We know what wilt did but we wasn't outside like that. We didn't really see what Kubrick was doing we saw the after effects.

Nolan has been doing that shit at a time where its prevalent and tangible to most of us and we can actually key in on the amazing things he does and in real time.

Like none of us are entertained by 2001 space odyssey today but we know and understand the impact it had on film at the time.

I just can't honestly vote for Kubrick knowing I didn't view him like that. I also admittedly don't fuck with anything pre 1980. Like I'm not bothering.
