I watched A Clockwork Orange several times as a kid. I watched Stand By Me once. I've referenced the Ludovico Technique a time or two back on the IC. That's one of those flicks that will really stick with you.
Haven't seen stand by me but clockwork is one of my favourites. It's so different and surreal I felt like I was watching something more than just a movie or a piece of entertainment. It feels like art.
Both are classics in their own right. SBM is more inviting and watchable. ACO is a literal mirror to society, the themes and sound chosen is a standard for sure plus it came out in 1971. Most definitely ahead of its time.
