Jay-Z himself would tell you Dear Summer or Touch The Sky should not be in the finals and he executive produced both albums. NY/east coast Hip-hop was non-existent from 05-08 I remember those debates of the south taking over. I could even understand if Drop It Like It's Hot made the finals or Lil Jon. Hustlers Muzik,Stay Fly, Still Tippin, Soul Survivor, The Whisper Song those were bangers that ran '05. Even on the IC back then.

The south ran 2005-2006 without question
