Supreme Clientele 1 of my favorite albums from one of my favorite MC’s from my favorite group ever...but it’s not fuckin’ wit’ Blueprint...I just think niggaz still mad at Jay for that NFL shit...it’s cool tho...I can’t hate them for that

That means absolutely nothing. It took "Paid In Full" nearly 8 years to go platinum. In that same amount of time MC Hammer went diamond (Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em), double plat (Let's Get It Started), 5x plat (Too Legit To Quit), and platinum (Funky Headhunter).

Now, which one of those albums is even remotely better than Paid In Full? Which one changed hip hop like Paid In Full did?

Shit, Sir Mix A Lot had two platinum (Swass and Mack Daddy) and a gold album (Seminar) in the same amount of time. Are any of those better than Paid In Full???

Didn't think so.

This cool and all but SC ain't Paid in Full

It wasnt ground breaking
It didnt shift the culture
It wasnt as critically acclaimed as 1/2 the other albums in the tournament

And yeah, sales do mean something.

I standby by SC shouldnt have made it this far. But MBDTF didnt even make it in so that's an indicator of what type of time the tournament on
