To answer my own question, my ex put me onto to get years ago. She had glasses, glasses cases, tablet cases, travel bags, etc...

Yep. To me she seemed to be implying that the dad somehow contributed to it. If true that’s an unbelievably shitty thing to do, to try and make her daughter resent the only parent she has left.
