ESPN President Steps Down

Ryan Rusillo is stepping down also......last tv appearance is this Friday and he will still have his radio show until his contract is up this June

The NFL is killing ESPN....no way they can survive in this climate paying all that money to broadcast games and keep top notch talent.....ESPN is gonna be barebones as fuck in 5 to 10 years

i think that drunk night cost ryan his job and people always having to fill in for him but for real on skipper story i wont be shocked if it was because of women and they aint tryin to get it get out hopefully not tho dan le batard was in tears live on air when he heard the news
ps
ESPN was looking for a host to replace Chris Berman on Sunday NFL Countdown, Fox Sports' Charissa Thompson was floated repeatedly as a candidate. Then this summer, when ESPN sought a co-host for Mike Greenberg''s upcoming morning show, Thompson's name came up again. she already left extra

When u think about ESPN in the past. There was basically one episode of sports Center that ran all day. It was the back ground music for the daily lives of America. Wasn’t shit political about it, it was mostly just sports.

It was what played in the waiting rooms of businesses. It was all ESPN needed. But when smart phones came about and people had something else to do with their loose time. They kinda had to fill that time, and there’s just to many different people that enjoy sports.

That when you have to fill that time with talk, ur gonna offend someone and inturn lose viewers then u have to make the choice about who you wanna cater to. Which also means your gonna lose viewers. That’s where people with actual program director talent come in handy.

The problem with ESPN is they focused so much on on air talent that they lacked talent where it really matters. That’s where their downfall is. And it’s mad ironic that a station where guys debate the ability of front offices in all the major sports.

Lacked that same talented ability in its own front office.
