Do the Nas and Hitboy albums have any impact?

It matters a lot for Nas legacy and his placement in this ever changing leaderboard of everyone’s “top ten MCs”. Nas just might have the greatest solo discography in hip hop for someone who has ten plus albums under his belt.

For me this raises a deeper question.

Do people over 25 begin to mainly listen to the music they grew up to? Or did the artists they grew up to fall off?

It's not like niggas hit 30 and stopped listening to hiphop, so why aren't the artists we came up listening to selling any more?

The only 90s artists who can still sell is probably Hov, Wayne and Em.

After almost 30 years after his debut, this question is being asked? I think if this was raised after It Was Written then it might be something. Right about now, I think dude is just putting out music just to do it, dont think its about sales or impact. Really its about who, though, ofcourse it has impact to Nas fans, but to top 40 radio listeners probably not. Since dude worrying about impact, though, that album or whatever he doing with Jim Jones better have the streets of fire and all over the radio
