Did DJ Clue drop the ball with Desert Storm?

This was a early 00’s crew of emcees A Team (Ransom/Hitchcock), Joe Budden, Paul Cain, Stack Bundles and Fabolous. With all this talent they could’ve rivaled all the top crews of that era.

Yup and that includes Desert Storm South with Magno aka Magnificent...dude was one of the best rappers from Houston and had the punchlines

And with that said, they'll destroy an era like now

You dont need some machine to fund you....you carve out a niche and you on

Look at people like Griselda n Gibbs....dont let they internet mania fool you...they aint known outside beyond they fanbase. Gibbs don't get play in Chicago...n it dont even matter ... they still get to sustain themselves....if not eat very well

Its like the prior era fell on their sword for this current one....cause aside from G Unit (and they money came later), most those folks were rapping for free ! But they established a model that pays today!

No quite sure who to blame but that was a pretty impressive crew. I remember the mixtapes and I can recall one actual album being released that was just a compilation of tracks but that must not have done too well cuz he didn't really capitalize off of it.

Lol never heard of Desert Storm South and never heard of this nigga

Him and Mike Jones were a duo both on Swishahouse, Magno was the far superior rapper and really dope but Mike Jones knew how to market himself and had the catchier music

Around the time Slim Thug, Chamillion, Paul Wall and Mike Jones got their deals DJ Clue picked up Magno for Desert Storm South but I guess nothing never materialized....I thought it would workout because he was a punchline rapper wouldve fit in with Fab and the rest of them

Have you ever heard Still Tipping?

"First Round draft picks coming"

"Mike Jones he running the game and Magnificent about his cash"

They had good chemistry but Mike Jones a cocky dude and hater and they broke up...This album was already old when Still Tipping came out lol

@Hustlelitó tell these boys

Wasn't just Clue that dropped the ball. Skane and Duro were running the label with him. I think the issue w Desert Storm was they couldn't get another artist to REALLY have success. Can't build a label off one guy. Joe Budden album flopped n then he started beefing w the distributor. Paul Cain was nice, but he didn't seem like the type to pull off the solo artist thing. Ransom hadn't figured out his niche yet n that era was all about big singles, not steady internet grind. Stack Bundles, I did not know much about his Desert Storm time.
