Hannibal wouldn't look like an African American though. We shouldn't be like white people and take on others identities or try to make them us, North Africa has it's own diversity and Hannibal people are an out of Africa population that has ancestry that lived in the caucus region in the neolithic era. I would bet money he wouldn't look like us, light brown skin, but not dark skin or medium brown.

He definitely wouldn't be Arab, hell the Iraqis nor anyone in that region aren't Arab descendants just adopted the culture like Somalis. I think Ethiopian especially in the northern part have more Arabian ancestry.

I think this is a little bit vague so let me explain further. Yes the Phoenicians/ Canaanites have Caucasian ancestry. That's because Caucasian tribes like the Kura-Araxes or The Yamnaya assimilated and adopted into Canaanite and other Semitic cultures. There's so many Caucasian Zagros Mountain tribes that invaded. Haplogroup J's original language is Indo European so they're not Semitic in origin. The Canaanites were Semitic and originally belonged to Haplogroup E's like the AfroAsiatic Natufians. All of the Levant including the whole Saudi Arabia were originally Haplogroup E's homeland before Haplogroup J's started invading. Been invading since the Pre Pottery Neolithic B era. But before that until Pre Pottery Neolithic A era, nothing but E Haplotypes. They invaded AfroAsiatic peoples like The Kingdom of EBLA, Sidon, Levant and southward into Saudi Arabia around 3000-2500bc Bronze Age. That's why there's a lot of yap negative J haplotypes on the y dna side but Black African Women mt dna Haplotypes like L's, M's, and N's on the other side. So much swirling before the Black Moors
