His lawyers lost a very private court battle over attorney/client privilege. They didn't wanna talk but they lost in court.

Immediately after DOJ is re-questioning witnesses, other folks wanna cooperate now, and they are getting access to these recordings, that's crazy in and of itself. His lawyers are giving them detailed notes of meeting they were having with Trump. Everything flowed after that point

And you gotta think that because they were able to set precedence in this indictment breaking Attorney/Client Privilege, they may also be able to do it again in the Jan 6 trial. Jack Smith is the special prosecutor on that one also
