If anything black is the made up construct.
We are victims of the diaspora. We have been negros, colored, black, African-American and any other name given to those whose names were stripped from them. Black is a placeholder when viewed through that prism.
In that sense black is just what I am today. 50 years ago I mightve been called something different. 50 years from now I might be something different still. But I am a man that ain't some human construct. Strip me to my biological truth and I am still a man.
The thing these goofs don't understand is that, at the end of the day, there is a distinct difference between sex and gender.
Sex is that biological truth. It's hardcoded in every person at the chromosome level. You are male or female.
Gender, however, is a construct, purely the product of the societal norms of a given people in a given era. Gender says "this is masculine" or "this is feminine" or even "this is neither masculine or feminine". It can change over time so that things once considered masculine or feminine could swap places or be considered neither, then years go by and they fall back into those old places.
People cannot be a gender. You are not a "masculine", you are not a "feminine" as that has no meaning without the underlying biological component: male or female. Therefore, one can be a "masculine female" or "feminine male" but at the end of the day, you're either male or female, and there's absolutely nothing you can do to change that. Take all the hormones and chop off or mutilate your sex organs, it won't make a difference, you are what you started out in life as: Male or Female, the biological truth.
