this shit happened directly behind my apartments when I was 4 or 5......we heard the loud buzzing all the way down and the apartments shook when it hit.....ZERO survivors or recovery....they couldnt find/piece together enough to make out individual people.....they just make the whole site a memorial for all of them.......I played in that park for several years after and passed the stone w/ their names every time
Mt. Carbon, WV train derailment. I was a railroad supervisor and this was my train crew. They left my yard earlier in the day and nearly blew that entire town off the map. We sent a burning loaded crude oil car directly into someone's house and it blew the fuck up. Luckily no one was home. Unbelievably no one died.
