I liked the album but it wasn't a classic. Had a classic song on it and some nice cuts. Not a classic to me.

Dr Dre actually can play instruments and i'm not talking about a low level where he ok with it he actually can at a high level. He is a natural born musician he was a DJ and can DJ actually mix on the turntables not no Woo Kid type personality DJ that can't technically DJ or mix, he as I said plays instruments, he produces, he mixes and masters songs on the engineering side of things
He uses co producers to help him make the beat but who doesn't?

I agree that Dre is an incredibly talented musician, and probably one of the most talented of our time.
But he's more a composer than anything. And more so then co producing a lot of out favorite tunes, he added finishing touches to already great beats, as well as engineered them. While that isn't uncommon, he does put his name on the beats and present them as his own especially back then
