Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot Declares Racism a Public Health Crisis⁠

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has been in headlines for her candid responses to other politicians, as well as people who address the city of Chicago. Now, Lightfoot has commented on racism once more, declaring it to be a public health crisis.

Lightfoot recently made an appearance at the MLK Exhibit Center in North Lawndale this past Thursday, and asked people in Chicago to help combat systemic racism and inequality.

Lightfoot said, “We can no longer allow racism to rob the residents of the opportunity to live and lead full, healthy and happy lives and we are working closely with the Chicago Department of Public Health and community organizations to address these inequities once and for all.” From there, Lightfoot said Chicago needs to work on improving anti-racist policies that address the causes behind inequality. The mayor then ended off her speech by saying “We can no longer allow racism to rob our residents of the opportunity to live and lead full, happy, and healthy lives.” Take a look above.

She had a spark when she started. But the city is progressively getting worse all over. Can't say she's completely to blame but a lot of what she says seems to be deflection. I could be wrong.

Anyone tryna control this city has to be a lunatic to begin with. Worse job than US president.
