OUT NOW CASISDEAD - Famous Last Words

Sat down and gave this a proper session today...

The album is a masterpiece, listened to it start to end with no skips...

It also made me realised what an underrated storyteller Cas is, you normally only get a track/video from him every now and then from but with an album track after track hittin you, you realise just what a great storyteller he is...

The joint about suicide/terminal illness/depression is crazy...

This classic Mtume - Sugar Free, sample is crazy too... Remember hearing this years back, glad he put it on the album... His flow went mad the second verse...

'preciate it bro, tons of posters putting eachother on to new material on here is what makes the site so dope...

Not sure what sub genre I like most, depends what Im in the mood for... In general conscious, boombap, gangsta even abit of decent drill at times...

The sh!t I dont like is stuff with trance/techno/dance beats, which I guess is basically stripclub music haha

I pretty much became a fan after hearing Pat's Earrings for the first time via Top Boy.

Imma check this album on my way home from work.

Dope, let us know your thoughts on it... I think the album flows really well from start to finish... The Japanese version has an extra track, 'V12' too...

To me the album is cool.

A few stand-out tracks but I don't know how I feel about it as a whole, perhaps I have to run it back one more time to give it a fair critique.

It might be some of the British slang and cultural references miss some Americans too (like 'Pat's Earrings' being a nod to Pat Butcher, who was a British soap star known for her earrings lol)

Lauryn Redding on X: Pat Butcher- International Man of mystery... / X
