Sing- Can hold and carry a note but doesn’t really have range.
Sang- have range, powerful vocals, a voice that moves you.


 
By the definition of "sang" I think he can sang sang

have range - Beautiful Girl In the World (singing the whole song in falsetto until after the bridge when he hit the baritone bass)
powerful vocals - The Beautiful Ones (he was going in on the last part of the song) or Baby I'm a Star
a voice that moves you - Purple Rain (need I say more. had grown men crying in the Purple Rain movie lol)
