Maybe Queen Bey couldn’t get you to sign up for a Tidal subscription, but with this news she’ll sure get you to sign up for Netflix.
According to The Sun, an insider close to Bey’s team said QUOTE, “Her team are now in negotiations with Netflix to premiere the project, which would introduce it to a massive audience.”
If you somehow don’t remember the iconic day, her last visual album Lemonade dropped on the television network HBO.
The source continued to say that Netflix QUOTE, “offered a seven-figure sum for Lemonade but contractual obligations with HBO and Tidal meant it didn’t happen. But they are willing to pay through the roof this time because Beyonce still has massive pulling power.”
Last week it was being reported that Beyonce was trying to secure the Colosseum in Rome for filming purposes. And now it’s becoming clear as to why.
The insider also said, “Beyonce has been hard at work on her next solo album and it is shaping up well. She wants it to be even more ground-breaking and visually impressive than Lemonade, which is why she is scouting out locations which will really wow people.”
And the Colosseum sure would have wowed people, but unfortunately for the queen, it’s not looking good.
Apparently Beyonce and Jay-Z made a last minute request to film there and ultimately it was turned down by Italy’s culture ministry. Buuuut it was only because the amphitheatre was previously booked by an Italian paleontologist. According to the ministry their request was just too short of notice so unless they booked a date far into the future, we may not be seeing the Colosseum in her visual album.
Although let’s be real, once word leaked that she was even looking to film in the Colosseum, I’m sure she decided against it because Bey is all about the surprise of the visual.
