Biased towards BAD because that was the MJ era I grew up with. Close run thing and on another day I might choose Off The Wall, but the memories I associate with BAD gives it the edge
 
I used to think Off the Wall was his best since at the time when I first heard it I was so much into BAD and Thriller I didn’t even bother to check for it. It blew me away how good it was. Only recently have I been favoring BAD. Almost every track is a banger.
 
That BAD album is super underrated.....damn near every song was a single hit for the radio plus the tour was the highest selling solo tour in the 80's

My pops always said Off The Wall was his best. That was the consensus.

MJ used to have a motivational note on his bathroom mirror saying 150 million sold was his goal for Bad. So even he would tell you it was a letdown.

Quincy Jones himself knew their creative partnership was cooked after Bad, that's why he told him to hit up Teddy Riley for the next one.
