And their first two albums were solid. From 86-88 if you were to make a mixtape, Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince would have a song or two on there. They were in the same league as Eric B & Rakim, Boogie Down Productions, Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap & DJ Polo, NWA, 2 Live Crew, Beastie Boys, Too $hort, Ice T, Slick Rick, Dougie Fresh, Stetsasonic and whoever else was hot in that era.
Then after their second album they switched their style up and went commercial. It worked, they sold records but I liked their first two albums better than their later albums.
