Humans should give up one bad habit every year on lent( i don't actually know wtf lent is about, just going off OP). Only good can from giving up a bad habit, yet we cling to them.

Funny story...

I had a pastor who was very specific about what he gave up for lent. He always encouraged his congregation to practice and
follow lent by giving something up. Said it help him change his life.

So me being me. I asked him one day to show me where in the bible he got his scriptures for lent at. So that I may study it
and do as they did in the bible.

His Reply

Lent was never mentioned or even explained in the bible
