AEW Thread: Dynamite- 5/1

Maybe it's just me but there is a difference in the life of the product between AEW and NXT. Love both but gee AEW knows how to make a product come off alot better and have more life.

I loved the former Alister Black making a shocking debut on AEW but the commentary fucked up his name, calling him Tommy End and then the new name smh

How End was able to appear prior to his 90 day non-compete with WWE is as of yet unknown. PWInsider.com is attempting to clarify the situation.

Black was released by WWE on 6/2, just weeks after the promotion spent weeks building his return to storyline via vignettes and an angle where he attacked Smackdown star Big E.

Probably a deal to get Zelina

PWInsider.com is told that back when Tommy End was moved to the main WWE roster several years ago, the company failed to update his contract from the standard 30 day non-compete that NXT level talents receive to the 90 day non-compete that main roster performers are given. So, what can only be described as a bad clerical error allowed End to be free and clear in time for the first episode of AEW Dynamite on the road and surprise everyone.

The natural question is going to be whether other talents also had the same error, allowing them to appear ahead of the traditional 90 day non-compete elsewhere. Obviously, there's no way to know unless they opt to make that publicly known.
