Taking my Queen to NY super soon, both of our first time. We will be be around Manhattan/ central park. What's some dope things to do? Good places to eat? I'm a sucker for Chinese food, who got that good shit? Pizza spots? Lace me fam!

Haha what's some good food spots around central park?
I hit up Quality Meats right by central park. Shit was fire but pricey.

I heard about them. Best pizza and Chinese spots?
Me personally I like straight forward pizza like Joe's in the village but NY pizza good anywhere. There's a place near MSG but I forget the name. It's really hard to go wrong

Chinese? Idk but again it's hard to go wrong. Chinese food started mainstream in NY

I wish I could help but i try to never set foot in Manhattan these days. If you need to know some Brooklyn spots I got you though.

I will say that if you want dope Chinese food that isn't served from behind bulletproof glass you gotta go for a a random dim sum spot in Chinatown during brunch or Xian Famous Foods.

For incredible pizza you're gonna have to come to Brooklyn or go to New Jersey. That's just how it is.

I will say there's one spot in Manhattan that can't be duplicated and that's Mamoun's falafel (the OG location by Washington Square Park not the one on St Marks). Even if you think you don't like falafels it could be just you been having bad ones. Its a little hole in the wall but there's a reason it's been there for decades.

Since you on your tourism shit hit up Gray's papaya

Best to go at midnight that's when they start pumping crack into the hot dogs

Yo I might be dating myself here but I remember when those joints were two for a dollar with unlimited toppings. Back when I was a youthful offender drinking 40s and doing all types of drugs that place kept me alive and well fed.

Aight two things if you're gonna be in that area is the obelisk in central park. If I remember correctly it is from Hatsheput's reign in ancient Egypt (definitely from the Armana period). But also related and a can't miss is the Met. They have a lot of stolen ancient Egyptian artifacts but most impressive is the Temple of Dendur which they shipped over and recreated. The Met 's whole Egyptian collection is powerful as hell and if you're on a date they have a rooftop martini bar overlooking the park as well.

Yeah you gotta go to the Met. The museum of natural history is a scam though. They actually display recreations of real artifacts that they have but keep in the basement. Half that shit you see on display is paper mache.

Hmm.

The younger me, when I was into going out and exploring home..there’s a spot near West 4th known for their Falafels and there’s usually a line outside just to get one. Super good, I’ll try to remember to get the name of the spot for you..it’s been too many years since I’ve been there.

There’s another place I went to around that area for my 21st birthday, pretty good and good drinks too. Honestly? Me and my friends use to legit just walk in lower Manhattan and just find spots. I’ll ask some of my friends about some places and let you know what I come up with.
