HBO A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight (Late 2025)

What’s the appeal with this story? I know nothing about it so I’m lost.
It's basically a side story. It follows a tall guy named Duncan who travels with the realm with Egg (Aegon). They get into adventures and shape the realm in unexpected ways. They are more light-hearted stories with the same political intrigue as everything else but they tend to stumble into the situations.

There are three novellas and George intends to write more. The one I'm excited for is the She-Wolves of winterfell.

These stories also leave clues and add to the lore of the main series

Appreciate it. I’ll be tuned in because it must be good considering how many people are looking forward to it.
