A Few Questions

5 Grand

Old School Godfather
1. Why do people (still) use Autotune?

2. Why do fans like/listen to rappers that use Autotune? (perhaps that answers the first question)

3. Why do people put skits on their albums? If you've ever heard a rap album in the past 30 years you know that skits are the worst part of any album you've heard more than three times.

4. Did anybody from No Limit have a successful career after 2000?

niggas been loving autotune since the funk era

its jiggy

skits are dope af...I was listening to Reason album this morning laughing my ass off.....im actually disappointed if there are no skits, thats a rap album staple to me....im huge on comedy tho, even in bars

successful? nah, not a career.....some made label changes and dropped bricks, some locked up, some took that blessing and disappeared

I actually agree with all the points 5 grand made in the OP.

Fuck auto tune

Skits should only be made at the beginning and end of an album. After you've heard the skit more than twice it's just in the way.

1. Why do people (still) use Autotune?

'cause they're lazy.

2. Why do fans like/listen to rappers that use Autotune? (perhaps that answers the first question)

'cause they have the worst taste in music.

3. Why do people put skits on their albums? If you've ever heard a rap album in the past 30 years you know that skits are the worst part of any album you've heard more than three times.

Fuck if I know. They were cool in the late 80's/early 90's but by 95-96 the shit was played.

4. Did anybody from No Limit have a successful career after 2000?

There was no autotune in the funk era.

Skits are dope and can help the album flow, like on alot of Masta Ace album's they continue the story that is being told on his albums...
