808s and Heartbreak: 10 Years After

After revisiting and listening to this album full for the first time, this without a doubt revolutionize urban music (hip hop/RnB) for better or worse. There are so many elements from this album that sparked the careers of individuals like Drake, Travis Scott, Migos, PartyNextDoor,Future, Logic , The Weeknd, etc.

The fact that Drake( who is credited for being alot of new rappers influences) single handley created So Far Gone from this song along with Travis Scott whole fucking persona being modeled after this album says alot man.

And Kid Cudi gets credit for helping Kanye make this project, which imo sonically is amazing and very impressive. This imo is a prime example of a classic art that has been shitted on for coming out at the wrong time due to an era that wasn't expecting or accepting of it's sound.

It's so disappointing what Kanye has become now, and how his music ambition has diminished, but I challenge all of you to go back and go relisten to 808 and Heartbreak with a now mature and conditioned ear with the likes of Travis Scott, Drake, Migos dominating music current sound.

I'm interested in seeing the responses to this thread. I'll wait till after to drop my input.

I like it more now than I did back then. The style that was born on this project was still in need of development. Guys like Drake and Travis would go on to improve it and add a lot to it. Now when I listen back there's a huge nostalgia factor and it also has a historical element to it that makes it easier to appreciate.

Welcome to Heartbreak might be my favorite Ye song. I thought this was a classic album back then and still do, never understood the hate, niggas ears was not ready.
