Grants plus a part-time job can/will take care of school. There's also community college and trade schools which are all significantly cheaper.

They can go to CC for 2 years and than a bigger school if need be.



Folks always think they have to leave the state or go straight to a University for some damn reason.

But it’s more susceptible to corruption than any other system, and that corruption can absolutely crush the non-elites.

No you’re just talking at this point saying it should be free cause a few countries are free while ignoring other people are paying for those degrees. And when those people graduate they end up paying for degree for the students after them. You’re also ignoring those countries also don’t have to spend as much money on their military budget due to the fact that the us tax payers protects them.

As others have stated if you wanted to you can go to a community college then a university to save money. If you want to fuck off to a private uni and put yourself in 75k debt that’s on you. If you want to get a degree in African American studies and cry tears you’re in debt and can’t get a job that’s on you.
Maybe instead of making college free you get the higher education act repealed so deans of school can drive up tuition costs .

I didnt say college should be free. I said it damn near is in other developed nations and that nobody is benefitting from student debt. You talkin to the wrong person about community colleges cuz that's the route i went and I've mentioned that being the way to go several times on here and the IC.
