the events leading up to the battle with the white walkers was considered a fortnight

fortnight = 14 days (2 weeks)

the video game basically hamfisted the definition and took fort as a literal place (clubhouse) and they changed the spelling of night to nite i guess to make it cool.

The object of the game as I appreciate it is you start out in an open area killing opponents and destroying their forts and shit while the map shrinks as the match goes on. Whoever is last standing wins.
