Ay community..... your child gets killed on the streets of your city and police dont do shit. Tells you its a cold case

Couple weeks later you see a kid in the neighborhood wearing your child's chain/pendant/personal affect that you KNOW you gave them. What do you do next?

Confront the kid and whatever happens happens
Or
Inform the police?
 
How old is the kid? If he's younger and I expect that may not have been part of what happened, but may know something, I'd approach him peacefully. If he's basically a young adult and likely knows or was involved more deeply, I likely won't be so peaceful in my approach and in the end...

I'd probably beat some answers out of him but I cant say I'd go out with the intent to kill him

intent has nothing to do with what actually happens tho

I'm informing the police that I'm finna kill this lil muhfucka and they better get their asses to the spot if they wanna avoid a homicide and solve the case on their own.

I mean i just look it like whats the chances of you getting this rare pendant or chain and my kid being killed and you not be related to it?
