Naruto Movie in the Works with Destin Daniel Cretton Writing and Directing

Naruto, one of the most popular mangas of all time, is headed to the big-screen.

Destin Daniel Cretton, who co-wrote and directed the Marvel Studios movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, has been tapped to pen and helm a live-action adaptation of the title for Lionsgate.

Cretton will also produced alongside Jeyun Munford through his company, Hisako. The duo join Avi Arad, Ari Arad and Emmy Yu of Arad Productions, who are behind the studio’s upcoming video game adaptation Borderlands, and Jeremy Latcham (Dungeons & Dragons).
 
This is the stuff nobody asked for just like Live action Avatar Airbender. These things are never good. One Piece is just OK, but that is Netflix.

Some live actions can be done. The Avatar series on Netflix is good. The movie wasn't. rurouni kenshin live action was good to. I dont think this Naruto will be good though.

That is american films mostly.
The Japanese will of course use their own people when doing live actions from a anime/Manga.
