Not to be confused with the Hungry Hippos movie that seems to be in development hell this quick romp about a group of tourists trying to survive an attacking hippo at least provides some great unintentional laughs and a pretty decent CGI hippo especially in scenes in which it makes its angry approach. I did laugh at a couple of dark and morbid jokes. At times its a bit boring but then it hit me with a shocking moment. Characters make all around bad decisions. Some of the kills are so murky I couldn't really enjoy them. Im not even sure what happened to one of the characters. The backstory of one of the characters was extremely laughable because it kept changing.
